AUBURN — Air Force Airman Chester A. Swearingen II has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Swearingen is a 2004 graduate of Lakewood Park Christian School in Auburn and is the brother of Amanda Swearingen of Auburn. U.S. Army Cpl. Joseph Carroll of South Bend, formerly of Garrett, deployed on Dec. 26, 2009 for his second tour of duty to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. CHICAGO — Seaman Kassandra P. Pasztor recently completed Boot Camp at Great Lakes Naval Training Center, graduating Jan. 15. Following the ceremony, Pasztor was able to spend the day with family.
